The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire Field Security Associates (Addis Ababa – 2, Dire Dawa and Adama/Nazareth) and Local Security Assistant (Dire Dawa) who assist CSA/DSA/FSCO in collecting, updating and communicating information regarding the security situation in the country; maintaining the Security Plan, including updating staff lists; the assessment of Security Risk Managements Measures (SRMMs) for the duty station; reporting security incidents affecting UN staff, offices and assets; organize and delivering training courses on security awareness and preparedness; ensuring Residential Security Measures (RSMs) and office safety, and security preparedness and providing general administrative support to the CSA/DSA/FSCO.
Fixed Term Appointment (G6)-*Fixed Term Appointment is a staff contractual modality & Service Contract (SB3)-*Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
One year (renewable).
Completion of high school for the Fixed Term Appointment positions and University Degree for the Service Contract position.
Interested applicants must have at least six years of experience for the Fixed Term Appointment positions and two years for Service Contract position in security, preferably in the military or police context or related field of work; successful completion of UNDSS certificate training courses would be an asset and prior experience with the UN system or an international NGO, are desirable.
