About Us

Buna Qela Charity Association is a local, non-political, non-religious and not-for profit civil society organization licensed and registered in Ethiopia by the Agency for Civil Society Organizations of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.  Buna Qela’s Vision is an enriched coffee farmers’ community that produces high quality coffee, receives fair prices for the product, protects nature, lives in a clean environment & has access to basic social infrastructure. Buna Qela’s Integrated Community Development Program (INCODEP) has two pillars: Livelihood Improvement (LI) and the Social Development (SD). The LI pillar focuses on interventions that improve income of the community through improved agricultural practices, including coffee quality and productivity improvement, promotion of relevant certification for premium price, increasing access to livestock health and extension service facilities. The SD pillar focuses on increasing access to different social services of the target community, including clean water supply, education, roads, electricity, market and health facilities.
