Job Summery
The major roles of Administrative & Finance vice Dean is to assist the college in planning annual administrative and finance activities, lead and control the plan of the college in line of finance & administrative and offer commitment to achieve the strategical plan of the college.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial management: Plan, lead and acquire funds; monitor budget and expenditure and overall financial transaction of the college followed by proper reporting to stakeholders & other expected financial management functions. The vice dean is also responsible to plan and perform revenue maximization as per the strategy of the college.
- Human Resources and Procurement: Plan, lead and organize human recruitment need and perform recruitment; make employment appraisal and empower employees of the college & plan, lead and evaluate the performance of procurement functions of the college.
- Meeting-Related & Even Organizing related administrative work
- Represent the college in external meeting as needed and when required by executive dean
- Plan, Lead and evaluate the facility and maintenance of the college
- Plan, Lead and supervise the property management of the college and other functions commonly retained for administrative and finance vice dean of the college.
Job Requirement
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
- First Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Business Management, Business Administration and other related fields or
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Finance and Taxation, Financial Management , and related fields and direct related field of study for the first degree
Minimum years of relevant Work experience:
- Five years for Masters degree holders or seven years for first degree holders of relevant work experience in a comparable private or public universities in the position of either budget officer, planning officer, finance officer or finance team leader, purchasing director, human resource manager, senior accountant position or at any other leadership position
Additional Required skills:
- Financial forecasting, Planning, Budgeting, reporting, compliance handling and providing training for employees who have skill for financial software technologies
- Knowledge and understanding of the operational frameworks of the college and/ or other comparable international organizations, and ability to effectively use and apply the relevant operational rules and procedures;
- Understanding & usage of software packages (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and handling of web-based management systems (Share Point, Microsoft team, etc.) including communication in electronic medias such as email and other forms of technology
- Knowledge of using or understanding Peachtree accounting software or any other accounting software able to prepare report using such software or at least able to control application of such software.
Location: Addis Ababa
Salary: 30,000 Basic salary and representation allowances
