About Us
EEFRI is one of the institution which announced by the parliaments that have been worked on the environment, forest and climate change pillars dominantly. The institution has done a lot of community based research activities so far. The activities which have done since it was established as a research institutes includes importance of forest for carbon sequestration, Socio-economic impacts of municipal solid waste disposal and finding suitable landfill site for it, urban heat Iceland and its impact on surface temperature and climate change, and invasive species (like water hyacinth and so on) hydro logical and ecological influence. Those the above mentioned activities are done by the the company from list of responsibilities.
